Jeremy de Satgé had an early musical training as a chorister in Sheffield Cathedral Choir. Later he enrolled at Trinity College of Music, London, where for four years he studied singing with Elizabeth Hawes. He left Trinity in 1987 with a teaching licentiate in singing (LTCL) and having been awarded the Fellowship Diploma (FTCL) in singing performance.

Since leaving Trinity Jeremy de Satgé has divided his time between acting, singing, singing teaching and his other passion, writing. Recently he has also been active as a composer and is a partner in a newly formed music publishing venture The Music Makers which publishes new works and promotes them through public performance. Most of his compositions to date are of liturgical music.

During 1990/91 Jeremy de Satgé sang as principal bass lay clerk in Worcester Cathedral Choir, under Dr. Donald Hunt. For a number of years he has been Musical Director of The Catholic Stage Guild.

From 1994-2002 Jeremy was a member of the prestigious choir of the Guards' Chapel, Wellington Barracks London SW1 and since 2003 he is Director of Music at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Balham (south London).

It was because of his extensive knowledge of church repertoire and finding himself being asked to fix singers and musicians for weddings that in 1992 he founded Cantamus to provide a specialist service in providing singers and musicians for weddings and other religious and social functions.
